Wichita Clutch AquaMakks Water Cooled Clutch/Brake

Air, hydraulic, or spring set actuated and water cooled design, featuring copper wear plates optimized for heavy-duty continuous slip tension applications.

AquaMaKKs™ consist of a series of alternating friction discs and water jackets. Torque is transmitted by applying axial force from the pneumatic, hydraulic, or spring set actuator. Copper wear plates are used for excellent heat dissipation.

AquaMaKKs provides accurate torque control for constant tensioning and are perfectly suited for applications in oil and gas, metal processing and forming, forestry, and marine deck machinery.



Wichita Clutch Kopper Kool Spring Set Brake/Clutch

For high-energy continuous slipping applications such as dynamic tensioning duties where 'fail to safety' is required.
The KK/SS is suitable for end-shaft or through-shaft mounting.

Available in two actuation options:
   
  a) KK/SS - Spring applied / air released 'passive brake' for emergency engagement in the event of air supply failure
     
  b) KK/SS/Dual acting - A brake combining the advantages of excellent air applied 'active' control plus the added security of spring applied 'passive' holding and stopping action
     
Water-cooled brake with the cooling water contained within water jackets.
   
Copper plates quickly transfer the heat away from the friction surfaces to give good control and long life.
   
The friction surfaces are dry running.
   
Air and water connections are stationary


Industrial Clutch Model HC Clutch

The Model HC is an oil-immersed clutch designed for end-shaft, or through shaft mounting configuration. The compact size of the HC makes these units ideal for incorporation within a gear housing. Multiple speed transmissions use a variety of these units to affect fixed mesh speed changes. The Model HC may be used as a stand-alone device for disconnects service, or conveyor/mill soft starts.
Features include:

Pneumatic or hydraulic actuation.
   
Clutch torque capacities range from 55,000 to 1,275,000 pound-inches.

Delroyd Helical Gearing

The exclusive use of the involute helicoid thread form on the worm and gear provides for high efficiencies and long service
life. The hardened, ground and polished alloy steel worm develops a smooth, work hardened surface on the bronze gear. For this reason, the worm gears wear in and improve with prolonged service while other gears are wearing out.
