GC Series couplings feature unitized, straight-sided flexible discs for ease of installation. Up-to-date design targeted specifically for heavy industrial applications. These couplings provide increased torque capacity per size by taking advantage of the latest materials and design technologies.

Unitized Flex Packs

Easier, faster installation

Interchangeable with industry standard designs

Fewer sizes to cover a full range of applications

Reduced spare parts inventory

Lower total cost of ownership

Special designs avaiable for higher-torque applications

Automatic engagement and disengagement

Delayed engagement produces a “no load start”

No slippage at full running speed

Controlled soft-start acceleration

100% efficient at rated speed

Standard, spring control, and deep pocket models

Protection against shock loads during start-up

Complete line of spur, helical, miter, bevel, worms and worm gears.

Thousands of gears are available for immediate shipment

Custom gears can be designed and manufactured

All gears are manufactured to the strictest standards for the highest quality product available

Wichita's Air PTO is powered by our heavy-duty Standard Vent clutch. With large friction areas for high energy starts and an air actuated clutch for remote or automatic control of the PTO.
The air actuated PTO is ideal for your application because:

The bearing supported shaft eliminates sideload on the crankshaft

The high speed airtube not affected by centrifugal force

There are no o-rings or diaphragms to wear out

14" and 18" 1, 2 & 3 plate clutches available

Boston Gear's 800 Series contains a focused selection of compact, heavy duty helical gear drives that offer long-life performance and simplified maintenance. The 800
Series provides a functional
interchange for SEW Eurodrive
and other European manufacturers' helical gear drives, making it uniquely practical for replacement
applications.

TB Wood’s offers a full line of sheaves and drives to meet your specific application requirements.

Conventional V-Belt drives

Narrow drives (Ultra-V)

Light-duty drives (FHP)

Synchronous Plus drives

QT Power Chain® synchronous belt drives

The Twiflex centrifugal clutch coupling is designed to provide load free starts and smooth acceleration. Ideal for engine drives.

Loads are smoothly accelerated giving soft start

Reduces shock on shafts and gearing

Engine starts and idle free of load

Serves as automatic throttle controlled clutch

Eliminates shock loads

Prevents engine stall under sudden overload

Prevents engine reverse swing when coming to rest

Limits vibratory torques to safe level

Combines advantages of an efficient flexible coupling.

100% efficiency saves fuel.

Long trouble-free life with no routine maintenance.

The flexibility of Wood’s engineering, foundry and machine shop facilities allows us to design and manufacture special non-standard (made to order) sheaves and pulleys to meet a variety of customer requirements. Sheaves and pulleys up to 108 inches O.D., with any face width can be built to customer designs or can be designed by Wood’s experienced engineers to customer specification.

Sure-Grip® “Quick Detachable” bushings are easy to install
and remove. They are split through flange and taper to provide a true clamp on the shaft that is the equivalent of a shrink fit.

6-hole drilling (most sizes) makes installation and removal quick and easy.

Keyseat 180° from split.

Precise taper (3/4 in. per ft. on diameter) provides proper wedging action.

Saw cut through flange and taper (and sometimes cut down into keyway also) to provide a true clamp fit.

Cap screws used to secure bushings to sheave and to remove bushing from sheave

Up to 600 kNm;
5,300,000 in.lb.

These torsionally stiff, light weight couplings are capable of transmitting high torques at high speeds while accepting significant levels of angular, radial, and axial misalignment. They are easy to install, suitable for hostile environments, require no lubrication and feature a high torque to weight ratio. Specific designs are available which meet the customer’s exact requirements. Standard units are compliant with API 671 (American Petroleum Institute) and ATEX 94/9/EC.

No maintenance

Standard and reduced moment designs available

Capable of being torsionally tuned to suit specific machinery requirements
